Thank you for making this video. I have been to France years ago. I had thoughts of going to Verdun but did not make it. The video was hard to watch for me. Not due to the video itself or your presentation but because of issues I carry with me around deaths and abuses Ive witnessed from the past and associated PTSD. It’s hard to contemplate what one person will do to another. War is a consummate human failure on so many levels. Millions died in that war. It saddens me that humans have yet to figure out how to avoid killing to allegedly settle issues between them. I am trying to go back to France for many reasons, the people and the country is amazing to me and the culture so deep and varied. Maybe I make it this time to Verdun, maybe not. I sense it might be difficult for me as most places such as Verdun are. But I should like to try for many reasons. Again thank you and be well. Kind regards.

You crack me up… I love watching you! I live in upstate NY-Vermont area…. There are plenty of little one lane country roads here! I lived in Europe for 7 years… I do get the claustrophobia feeling over there… everything is small tight and tiny… jam packed…. I enjoy both the wide open roads and the tiny dirt ones too!

Welcome to Boston, a suggestion if you come again ride the t but get off at each stop especially the red line going to and past Harvard. I think if I view this right you went directly to Harvard and skipped areas like Beacon Hill, Central , Porter and Davis Squares, all have a very different feeling to each other. Same applies in the opposite direction from downtown red and orange lines in particular. And yes we wear shorts unless its subzero or snowing (and even then think twice about it).

😂 So many Europeans comment about how wide our streets are, and I don’t get it because street size seems like such a small detail to me😂 Some of our freeways, especially on the east charge a toll, but it's not that much. I was annoyed with my Polish family because we took a day trip to Slovakia and turned a 30 minute drive into a 3 hour drive and got us lost, because they didn't wanna pay the freeway toll. I even offered to pay it😂 Funny thing is, they scolded ME when I complained about having to pay to see a ruined castle and then pay extra to climb the tower. In Slovakia they made us pay to park on gravel, so I do understand where you're coming from. One of the things that annoys me about Europe is you have to pay for EVERYTHING!

In Oklahoma, there is a toll road between Oklahoma City and Tulsa that costs $5 one way. It's about 100 miles (162km) long. How does that compare to the cost of driving roads in France?

California has 6 lane wide freeways. I was kind of impressed with that when I first saw it, but they need it with all the cars on the road out there. The widest highways I’ve seen on the East Coast are 4 lanes. Some East Coast highways have tolls, others don’t. We pay for the non toll roads too, but through taxes.
